The Center for Arts Education offers Career Development Curriculum Handbooks, preparing students from grades 8 through 12 to successfully pursue their dream jobs in the arts. Students and teachers everywhere can now download the lessons and activities of the Center’s Career Development Program (CDP), which introduces students to the skills they need to become go-getters in tomorrow’s workforce. Readers will master techniques for networking, interviewing, time management, and other habits for success. The handbooks, including a teacher’s guide, also showcase the vast range of careers to be discovered within New York’s $21 billion arts industry. Students will learn that a life in the arts is not limited to singers, actors and dancers but also press agents, art dealers, lighting designers, arts journalists, publicists, editors and broadcasters.
